Present Actions Hold the Future I
Every experience in life is a path of self-cultivation.In secular life, we encounter the most troubles, mainly because of the interactions between people, which cause us the most unhappiness. If we can maintain a constant mindset and elevate our spiritual realm to a certain level, then no matter what people or things we encounter, we can transform our thoughts and feel gratitude towards others for providing us with the resources to achieve Buddhahood.
Maintaining this mindset at all times means abiding in the Dharma realm of the Buddha's teachings. This is "meditation" and also "the state of meditation."
"Zen" refers directly to enlightenment. "Samadhi" means stability. If our lives are guided by the enlightenment of Buddhism, it is cal"The state of meditative concentration" and "the Buddhist state of meditative concentration" refer to the same state of spiritual practice. It means being able to immediately resolve any afflictions encountered, and being able to "transform one's mind" in response to any afflictions.
The thought of "transforming one's mind" is about "understanding cause and effect" and "understanding the cycle of rebirth." This is the Buddhist state of meditation. Rinpoche is actually training everyone's mind to abide in the Buddhist state at all times and in all places.
